Penguins to get more than $1.3 million for football games agains - WFMJ.com News weather sports for Youngstown-Warren Ohio

The Youngstown State athletic department will add more than $1.3 million to its financial coffers over a two year period.

The football team has scheduled games against West Virginia in 2028 & Ohio State in 2029.

Per a public records request, YSU will receive $550,000 for the West Virginian game and $800,000 from Ohio State.

The Penguins will play at the Mountaineers, Saturday, September 9, 2028 and at Ohio State, Saturday, September 15, 2029.

This season the Penguins play at Michigan State and  receive $725,000.
