Posted: Updated:

YOUNGSTOWN  The Invisible Woman Collective will host a Harlem Renaissance Gala and Art Fundraiser tonight at 217 West Federal Street in downtown Youngstown. The event, for ages 21 and older, begins at 6 p.m. and aims to support single mothers in gaining transportation independence.

The evening is planned to feature live jazz performances by Beck Ward Project and Morgan Thebes. Attendees can also expect spoken word poetry, art exhibits from local and regional artists, dancing, and an art auction. Small plates and craft cocktails are included with admission.

A VIP Whiskey Tasting Experience and art preview for VIP ticket holders is scheduled for 5 p.m., with general admission doors opening at 6 p.m. The program is set to begin at 6:30 p.m.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Invisible Woman Collective's mission to provide safe and reliable transportation for single mothers, particularly Black women and women of color, in the Youngstown area. The organization states that accessible transportation helps single mothers move toward financial independence.

Tickets include event admission, access to performances and art exhibits, and an open bar. VIP tickets offer additional benefits such as early access to a cocktail tasting, premium drinks, a first look at the art auction, and a thank-you gift. Free parking is available at the venue.
