Fans of blues music, craft beverages, barbecue or perhaps all three can head over to the Warren Community Amphitheatre Saturday, October 4 for 7 17 Credit Union's inaugural Blues, Brews & BBQ Festival.
The event will feature a full day of live music, craft beverages including beer and bourbon and several northeast Ohio barbecue vendors competing for top honors. 7 17 did not provide a list of vendors, only describing them as "top-rated BBQ competitors from northeast Ohio."
Guests are encouraged to vote on their favorite barbecue vendor by purchasing tokens and dropping them at their favorite booth. $5 will get you five tokens. Each vendor will offer free samples for guests to try.
Gates open at 11 a.m. and the music starts at noon. Admission is $10 per person. Proceeds will benefit United Way of Trumbull County, Game Changers Inc. and the Warren-Youngstown Urban League.
You can purchase tickets by clicking here. You can also purchase tickets at any 7 17 Credit Union branch, as well as Sunrise Inn in Warren and the Eastwood Mall in Niles beginning Friday, August 15.
In-person ticket purchases are cash only, but vendors at the event will accept cash and credit for purchases.
Parking is absolutely free. Overflow parking will be clearly marked.
The festival will be headlined by blues singer Shemekia Copeland. Several other blues artists will be playing throughout the day including "King" Solomon Hicks, Damian Knapp, Cleveland's Backstreet Blues Band, Sacksville Rhythm & Blues Band, Jazz in the Park Allstars, Norman Nardini, Aaron McCoy and Friends and the Warren Community Gospel Choir.
Guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs. This is a rain-or-shine event.
