Junior Natalie Fleming and junior Chris Butler each turned in impressive performances to lead the Youngstown State cross country teams at the 2019 NCAA Great Lakes Regional on Saturday afternoon.

Youngstown State and Louisiana-Lafayette look to bounce back from losses. Both teams are coming off of ugly road losses in their last game. Louisiana-Lafayette lost 98-65 to TCU on Tuesday, while Youngstown State came up short in a 78-55 game at Louisville on Sunday.

Youngstown State will host Eastern Michigan on Saturday at 11 a.m.

In its first home game of the season Sunday, Louisville at times looked like it was in midseason form against Youngstown State.

Austin Simmons threw four touchdown passes and ran for a fifth score, South Dakota had two 100-yard rushers, and the Coyotes defeated Youngstown State 56-21 on Saturday.

The Penguins will play their first road game of the season on Wednesday at Robert Morris. Tipoff at the UPMC Events Center will be at 7 p.m.

Youngstown State will play its final two matches of the season at Beeghly Center next week. The Penguins will host Wright State on Nov. 15 at 6 p.m., and Senior Day will be on Nov. 16 versus Northern Kentucky at 4 p.m.

Youngstown State and Louisville both look to put winning streaks together . Youngstown State easily beat Thiel College by 48 at home in its last outing. Louisville is coming off an 87-74 road win against Miami in its most recent game.
