Youngstown Man Charged With Identity Theft

A Youngstown man is accused of using the credit card information of three Boardman residents to order $8,000.00 in electronics.

Boardman Police arrested 24-year-old Michael Abighanem and charged him with three counts of identity theft.

He allegedly circumvented the Home Shopping Network's security system to get the goods.

Authorities warn that crafty criminals are always finding new ways to steal your identity, so you should critically examine credit card statements every month.

The Home Shopping Network discovered the crime when they questioned the large amount of items going to a Youngstown address.
