The Youngstown Police Department held a golf outing to help fight cancer Friday.
The 18th annual Youngstown Police Department Charity Golf outing is an event held to benefit the American Cancer Society.
Held at Pine Lakes Golf Club, the outing is a four-person scramble at a cost of $300 per team or $75 per person.
This fee includes greens fees, drinks and dinner.
In a news release, Al Stabilito, the Northeast Ohio Public Relations Director of the American Cancer Society, said he appreciates the efforts of the police department.
"We see the Youngstown police working daily to prevent and stop crime so we can live in a safe environment, but the individuals who organize this event also care about helping in our mission to stop cancer," Stabilito said in the release.
