YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio- Youngstown police are investigating a Christmas Eve robbery at a local drug store.
Witnesses report that a suspect entered the Walgreen's on McCartney Road and demanded money, allegedly firing one shot before leaving with a drawer full of cash.
Rayanna Rivera, one of the witnesses, said the incident was frightening.
"He was just like, 'give me your money. Just open the cash register. Don't make a scene, don't press any buttons, don't call no one. Just give me the money,'" Rivera said.
Jasmine Polk said they tried not to attract attention during the robbery.
"We didn't want him to see us or hear us so we were real quiet walking to the back of the store, then all we heard was a gun shot," Polk said.
The suspect is described as a six-foot-tall black male, around 45 years old, with a deep voice and was wearing a blue jacket with fur, but no one got a good look at his face.
