NEWTON FALLS, Ohio -This holiday weekend is a special one for the new Mayor of Newton Falls. Lyle Waddell was sworn in Wednesday evening.

He was elected as mayor on November 4th during a special election. In that same election, voters chose to recall Mayor Pat Layshock.

Wednesday, the Board of Elections certified the votes from both the general election and the special election in Newton Falls.
