Pennsylvania couple charged with murdering Good Samaritan in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, California - Investigators in Los Angeles have arrested a Pennsylvania couple, charging them with murdering and dismembering a Good Samaritan.

Police say 36-year-old Edward Garcia, Jr. and his wife, 25-year-old Melissa Garcia, murdered 49-year-old Herbert White at a hotel in downtown Los Angeles.

A hotel maid found White's remains November 29th and police had been looking for the couple since then.

They believe White had been helping the homeless pair. Police found them living amid trash and human waste at an abandoned building in Hollywood.

Both suspects have criminal records in Pennsylvania for robbery and drug offenses
