YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Youngstown has two new council members.
In a ceremony at city hall, T.J. Rodgers was sworn in as second ward councilman and Nate Pinkard as third ward.
They talked about their goals for the city. "Focus on tearing down more houses and abandoned buildings and drug houses," Rodgers said. Pinkard said he wants to "bring the block watch groups together and use them as a catalyst and see what we can do in the neighborhoods."
The men were appointed to fill positions of fill the spots left vacant by members who moved into the mayor and council president posts.
