HUBBARD, Ohio - A portion of Interstate 80 is closed due to a tractor trailer accident.
A semi-truck carrying propane, ethanol and other petroleum products hit a bridge about one mile west of 62, causing it to explode. Crews used airpacks to extinguish the fire, since ethanol cannot be extinguished with water or foam.
The back trailer of the vehicle fell over the bridge.
ODOT, Haz-Mat and the EPA are on scene.
The Conway Freight truck was headed from Clearfield, Pennsylvania to Lordstown, Ohio.
The driver of the truck was taken to St. Elizabeth's hospital, where he is listed in stable condition and was not burned.
No other cars were involved in the crash.
Traffic in the west bound lane will exit at 62 in Hubbard.
