Convicted killer denied parole in Pennsylvania

MERCER COUNTY, Pennsylvania - The woman who helped murder a Mercer County college student will spend at least another year in prison.

Pennsylvania authorities have denied parole for Linda Karlen.

Karlen spent 15 years in prison for the 1988 slaying of Theil College student Roger Pratt and is now serving a 10 year term for her part in the arson of a Greenville furniture store.

Parole officials say Karlen refuses to accept responsibility for the crime.
