Iowa based company moving operations to North Jackson

NORTH JACKSON, Ohio Purfoods, an Iowa-based family owned business, is taking advantage of a 100-thousand dollar state tax credit and is moving operations into the Valley.

The company has purchased the former Heather Creek Foods plant at Youngstown Commerce Park in North Jackson.

Purfoods is investing more than 1.3 million dollars in the facility.

By early next year, they plan to have 100 new jobs there paying more than $11.00 an hour.
