WARREN, Ohio - Trumbull County Prosecutor Dennis Watkins will travel to Columbus to argue against clemency for a condemned double murderer.
The case involves Charles Lorraine who was sentenced to death for the brutal 1986 murders of Raymond and Doris Montgomery.
Watkins says Lorraine admitted the killings and feels his execution is overdue.
"There is a confession in this case and the evidence shows that he premeditated the murders of two senior citizens in a burglary," Watkins said.
Mr. Montgomery was a decorated World War II veteran and his 80-year-old wife was bedridden.
Lorraine's execution is scheduled for January 18, 2012.
