Niles looking to hire East's Brian Shaner as new head football coach

NILES, Ohio - Concluding an extensive search process, Niles City Schools has announced that it is recommending that Brian Shaner be hired as the district's new head football coach.

Shaner has served as head coach at Youngstown's East High School for the past five years, serving in that same position at Youngstown's Rayen High School from 2004 through 2006.

Shaner will keep his teaching position with Youngstown City Schools.

Shaner will be presented for approval to the board of education at an upcoming special or regular meeting.
