YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - More information on a story we first brought to you Wednesday night.
Assistant Mahoning County Dog Pound Warden Dave Nelson says three people called Friday claiming to be the owners of dogs pulled out of a house on Myrtle Street.
The owner of a King Corso, which made its way to the roof of the house, was able to pick up his dog from the pound Friday morning.
The owner says the dog is worth more than two-thousand dollars.
"We had a guy that came in and he reported his dog stolen approximately three to four days ago. He described the dog to a T, the collar, everything. Apparently, the dog was chained with a lock and the lock was cut off. He came in today and claimed the dog. The dog was ecstatic to see him. He took his dog home," Nelson said.
The owners of the beagle and pit bull that were rescued have also contacted the pound and plan to claim their animals soon.
