WARREN, Ohio - Trumbull Prosecutor Dennis Watkins is asking Ohio's governor and attorney general to "fight the fight on behalf of justice and the victims."

Watkins wants the state to appeal the court decision that halts this Wednesday's execution of Charles Lorraine.

Twenty-five-years ago, Lorraine stabbed Raymond and Doris Montgomery to death in their Warren home, then robbed them and then partied.

Watkins emphasizes Ohio has successfully challenged the federal appeals court before and won in the U.S. Supreme Court.

Federal Judge Gregory Frost delayed the procedure saying the state failed to document the drugs used and failed to look at the medical chart in its last execution.

The granddaughter of Lorraine's victims, Attorney Allison Aleman who has prosecuted murder cases in California, is asking the state to go forward with the execution.

She says this case cries out for justice.

Her grandmother, who was bedridden, died knowing Lorraine just murdered her husband and was coming after her next.
