YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (AP) - Home and business owners are cleaning up after high winds swept across Ohio, damaging buildings and traffic lights and bringing down trees and power lines from Dayton to Youngstown.

Meteorologists say winds reaching 55 mph or more were reported in some pockets of the state Friday.

Our print partners at The Vindicator reported gusts blew a section of bricks off the outside of The Honda Store in Boardman, damaging a handful of cars parked nearby.

In Lorain, west of Cleveland, The Morning Journal reported a garage was crushed when the winds uprooted a large tree.

The Dayton Daily News says the winds also ripped off part of a building façade.

Most of the reported damage involved fallen branches and temporary power outages. There were no reports of serious injuries.
