Glenn Stevens honored by the American Cancer Society

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - One of 21 WFMJ's own was honored by the American Cancer Society on Saturday night.

Glenn Stevens was among three cancer survivors and a local doctor who were recognized at this year's Cattle Baron's Ball.

This is the sixth year for the annual fund raiser.

"The monies raised go for research. They go to provide programs that are run through our counties; local programs that services local patients and their families," said event co-chair Carol Weimer.

The American Cancer Society hoped to raise 80-thousand dollars from the event.
