SHARON, Pennsylvania - A homebound tutor for the Sharon School system was found guilty of aggravated menacing and telecommunications harassment after sending sexually volatile text messages to a Canfield man about his two-year-old daughter.
Although Danielle Tahos originally pleaded not guilty to the charges, she would plead no contest in court Friday, who eventually found her guilty.
In a statement to police, Tahos said she was upset when she wrote the text messages, but did not intend to send them or cause the child harm.
Tahos was ordered to pay $771 in fines and court costs and was given a 30 day suspended jail sentence.
Last fall, the Sharon City School Board approved Tahos as a homebound instructor to tutor students who miss school because of illness.
