WARREN, Ohio - The world's largest drum sticks were unveiled at Warren's Amphitheatre this weekend.
The 900 pound drum sticks are a tribute to Warren native Dave Grohl.
Warren Police Officer Joe O'Grady spearheaded the project to have the largest drum sticks in the world made to honor the Foo Fighter's front man and Nirvana drummer.
The drum sticks made of poplar logs will be taken to Grohl Alley in Warren in September.
Grohl was not in Warren for the unveiling but took out a full page ad thanking the city for its support.
Grohl was raised in Virginia but many of his relatives still live in the area.
