CLEVELAND, Ohio - One of the nation's top high school basketball players will spend the next three years in an Ohio prison after kidnapping and assaulting his ex- girlfriend.
Eighteen-year-old Tony Farmer collapsed in a Cuyahoga County court room Tuesday after hearing the sentence. He remained on the ground briefly before a deputy pulled him to his feet.
Farmer is accused of kidnapping, assaulting and threatening ex-girlfriend Andrea Lane back in April.
He was ranked among the top 100 high school players nationwide and was being recruited by several major colleges.
Farmer was set to be a senior at Garfield Heights High School.
