YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A missing dog that belonged to an Idaho family has been found.
The dog, a English bulldog named Mabel, was reported missing on Belmont Avenue in Liberty Township on August 14th after a family traveling home stopped at Bob Evans. Mabel was left in the car while the family ate. When they returned Mabel was gone.
The Jillings family stayed in the area for a period of time looking for their dog. Police departments in the area were contacted and put out a notice, but to no avail.
However, a couple of weeks later, Brooke Jillings received a call. Mabel had been found in Columbus. She was sold to someone who said she bought the dog outside of a grocery store on the city's west side.
After finding an ad posted by the Jillings family on Craigslist about Mabel, the temporary owner contacted the family to return the dog.
Mabel is back in Youngstown and Brooke Jillings is currently traveling from her home in Idaho to reunite with her lost pet.
