YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Youngstown State University women's basketball coach Bob Boldon is the new head coach at Ohio University.

Boldon turned around the Penguins in three years after a winless season in 2009-2010.

He led the Penguins to 23 wins this season and a spot in the women's NIT. It's the most wins for the women in 15 years.

Boldon, this year's Horizon League Coach of the Year, takes over a Bobcat program that struggled with a 6-23 mark.

Boldon reportedly signed a five year contract with a base salary of $170,000 a year.

He would like for all of his assistants to join him, but said some are looking at "other opportunities.'

YSU Athletic Director Ron Strollo, via the university website, thanked Boldon and his staff and said a national search to find his replacement will begin immediately.
