YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Another Youngstown State football player has been invited to a NFL camp.
Mark Pratt has an invitation to the Arizona Cardinals minicamp and follows in the footsteps of three of his teammates.
Pratt was a junior college transfer. He started 21 games at center the last two seasons and helped the offensive line set a school record last year allowing just eight sacks.
Pratt helped lead the way for Jamaine Cook to become the second running back in school history to rush for over 4,000 yards.
Pratt admits the call from Arizona was unexpected. "I knew that it was kind of a fat chance going in this late that I wasn't going to get to many phone calls. So I started getting on a weight loss program to slim down a little bit. I was in a final for one of my classes and I got like phone call after phone call on my phone. So I finally checked and I got a text from my agent telling me Arizona invited me to the rookie camp. I was just kind of floored," Pratt said.
