After the storm comes the clean-up

LISBON, Ohio - A series of storms pounded the Mahoning Valley and left plenty of noticeable damage from the high winds and heavy rains.

On Desellem Road in Lisbon, families were left to clean-up uprooted trees and branches, and the story was the same in a number of communities around the area.

In Trumbull County, all but a handful of customers now have power.

During the storm 5800 customers lost their electricity in Columbiana County. By late Wednesday, fewer than 30 homes were still without power. First Energy expected to finish repairs by midnight.

There were concerns from some in Columbiana and northern Trumbull County that it was more than just a severe storm that hit the area, but the National Weather Service says there was no tornado activity, just powerful winds that caused the damage.
