DBSA of Columbiana County offering peer-led support meetings

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A group offering support to people with mood disorders, and their families, is extending its services to people in the Mahoning Valley.

The Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance of Columbiana County is now hosting three peer-led support meetings each week in Columbiana and Mahoning Counties for anyone who's been diagnosed with or thinks they may suffer from depression or bipolar disorder.

"We have a place where people can come and share their experience, strength and hope and we bounce ideas.  A lot of times I will bring in an article and we will read through it and we will discuss it and educate each other," said Bob Fairchild, president of the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance of Columbiana County.

In addition to its regular meetings, the group is hosting a Demystifing Bipolar Education Session August 24th. The deadline to register is Tuesday, August 20th.  You can register by calling 234-517-1470 or by sending an email to president@dbsaofcolumbianacounty.org.
