South Side Annex to go on the auction block

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Some people who have been around the valley for a while may remember the building as the old Treasure Island store in Youngstown.

More recently, it was called the South Side Annex, and formerly housed the  Mahoning County Board of Elections and other county offices until they moved out.

On Friday, commissioners hired George Roman auctioneers to sell the property.

Commissioners earlier rejected a $75-thousand offer from a non profit educational group, saying it was below the appraised value.
