Three suspects are sitting in the Trumbull County jail charged in a credit card scam.

When the men made at least a couple of trips through the checkout line with cards, they were stopped and searched. The men were arrested at the Walmart on Elm Road Tuesday night.

Bazetta Township police said federal agents are helping them track who these bogus cards belong to.

"It's going to be a long investigation, we've got multiple agencies actually help us," said Detective Joe Sofcheck. "I spoke to the FBI and I'm waiting for a call back from the Secret Service."

Fazly Azzm, 35, Mohammed Kamal-Parvez, 22, and Jabal Shaha, 33, are charged with criminal simulation. Additional charges are likely to follow.

Police found multiple credit cards in their wallets and in their car. It's not yet know what they were buying, who will get the bill and if the cards have been used other places.

Sofcheck said it's possible the Valley is among a number of targeted areas for these kinds of purchases on the East Coast. Shopping sprees on someone else's dime is something businesses in Trumbull and Mahoning counties have seen before.
