People visiting the Canfield Fair in the coming week shouldn't have to worry about navigating through orange barrels on the way there.
The Ohio Department of Transportation tells 21 News that crews have suspended resurfacing and pavement repair work along Route 11 in Austintown and Canfield.
Route 11, which is a major route for fairgoers, has had lane restrictions for the past few weeks from the I-80/680 split to Route 224.
One lane of Route 11 has new pavement. The other lane has the original surface.
ODOT has installed lighted speed limit signs. Until the project is completed, the speed limit along that section of Route 11 is 60 miles per hour instead of the usual 65 MPH.
The $3.8 million resurfacing project is expected to resume after the Labor Day holiday.
ODOT spokesman Justin Chesnic also said that drivers also won't experience lane restrictions along State Route 46 south of the fairgrounds.
He says a project resurfacing and repair project from Columbiana County to State Route 446 is nearly completed.
In addition, a widening project that had been restricting traffic on Route 46 north of the Canfield Green has been completed.
The fairgrounds are reachable from Routes 46, 11, and 224.
