Liberty Street closed for I-80 bridge construction

Liberty Street under Interstate 80 in Liberty Township is closed today for bridge construction.

The road will be closed from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. Friday.

Drivers will be detoured from Motor Inn Drive to State Route 193.

After Friday, Liberty Street will be restricted to one lane through late November. Traffic will be maintained by a traffic signal.

The bridge construction is part of a $91.5 million project to widen I-80 between State Route 11 and State Route 193.

The project is scheduled to be completed by late July of 2018.
