Jennifer Brindisi is a Valley native and the anchor of 21 News Mid-Day, solo anchoring the live hour-long newscast. 

Jen is a seasoned journalist, covering everything from crime to politics to lifestyle news and has had the opportunity to cover three Presidential visits. 

The Struthers native worked in television news as a general assignment reporter, morning anchor, weekend anchor, producer, editor, and MMJ at stations in Youngstown, as well as Charleston, West Virginia, and Greenville, Mississippi. 

Jennifer joined the 21 WFMJ family in 2012 as WFMJ Today's lifestyle reporter/fill-in anchor before helping to successfully launch WFMJ Weekend Today as co-anchor. 

While she enjoys her leadership on the anchor desk, Jen is a passionate storyteller. 

 In between her stints in television, Jennifer worked in Columbus as press secretary for the Ohio Attorney General and deputy communications director for the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation. She also worked as a development associate, raising funds for the Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center for Mercy Health Foundation, previously HMHP. 
Jennifer was named one of the Mahoning Valley Young Professional's 40 under 40 recipients for her career accomplishments and commitment to the community. She also holds several Ohio Associated Press Awards for reporting and anchoring and was named Best Reporter by the Ohio Society of Professional Journalists, twice. 
Jennifer graduated with honors and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from the University of Mount Union as well as an A.A.S. in Video Production from Ohio University. After college, Jen completed two years in the AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps and VISTA in Washington, D.C.
Jennifer says there's nothing better though than being a mommy to her daughter, Ellason and living close to her family and friends again!
