Canfield Mayor wants to attract new businesses to improve community

The public was invited to attend a State of the City presentation in Canfield on Thursday evening. 

Mayor Richard Duffett and other city officials gave the public a look at how the city is performing.

Mayor Duffett spoke about attracting new businesses to the city and improving the spaces they already have.

"We are engaging in conversations with our city engineer and consultants in coming up with a comprehensive plan, which includes the green, our beautiful green downtown, that red gate farm area, and other areas around Canfield. We want to have strong economic development," said Mayor Duffett.

Mayor Duffett says they want to attract new business to Canfield to help the revenue stream and continue focusing on the schools.
