Troopers say a two-car crash in Knox Township has left one dead and others injured.
The crash happened just after 3 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Georgetown Road and Westville Lake Raod.
Troopers say the driver of a BMW ran through a stop sign, causing an SUV carrying six people to crash into the car.
The impact caused the SUV to flip over and run off the roadway.
Marlene Santini, 71, of Salem was ejected from the SUV and pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers say Santini was not wearing a seatbelt.
The driver of the BMW has been identified as Justin Stalnaker, 39, of Ravenna.
Troopers say Stalnaker was airlifted to Akron General Hospital and has serious injuries.
The diver of the SUV was also from Salem and has minor injuries, which were treated on the scene. Troopers say he was wearing a seatbelt.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol Lisbon Post is investigating the crash and charges are still pending with the investigation.
Residents who live near the intersection tell 21 News this is not the first fatal accident they have seen here and are calling for a change to make the intersection safer.
