Muscle Connection H.S. Football Preview: Canfield Cardinals

The Canfield football program is coming off one of its most successful seasons finishing 12-1.

If they want to duplicate that, some young guys have to mature quickly. 

"We're going to be young and some young guys have to step up," said veteran coach Mike Pavlansky. "We have three starters back on both sides of the ball."

Leading the charge on the offensive line is Jarod Tincher. He's a three-year starter at right tackle and is the only lineman back with experience.  Matt Zaremski is back at wideout and Colin Hritz and Nick Crawford are back at running back.

The concern on defense is the inexperience on the back end. Up front veterans back include P.J. Hallof, Vince Giordano, and Anthony D'Alesio.

Pavlansky, now in his 18th with the Cardinals, said, "We're really young up front and our guys have to come through. How they progress is going to decide how far we go."
