Two-car crash in Youngstown caught on surveillance video

Speed and not paying attention, are two things some Youngstown business owners say have caused more than a few accidents at a certain intersection in the city.  

On Friday, one such accident took place.

21 News received surveillance video of a two-car crash that took place right at the intersection of Hillman and Midlothian Boulevard, right near Master Auto Repair.

The surveillance video was from Master Auto Repair, where witnesses said a red car ran a red light and then hit an SUV. 

Business owners said that the area in which the crash took place can be especially dangerous because people speed and often do not pay attention. 

Both vehicles from the accident on Friday had significant damage.

Nayel Alhalayabah, of Master Auto Repair, told 21 News, "I think this intersection is really dangerous.  Make it easier, city."

Police said that they hope people learn from this and will begin to slow down, get off phones, and pay better attention.
