The Greatest Golfer of the Valley week is off and running.

Twenty-six scramble teams are competing in the Coors Light Greatest Scramble Championship at The Lake Club.

The teams are comprised of scramble teams that have won outings the past several months.

Wednesday is the Greatest Ladies 2-Person Championship at Trumbull Country Club, and Thursday is the Panera Long Drive Championship at Tippecanoe Country Club.

Friday starts the Farmers National Bank adult competition and continues Saturday with the top 10 players advancing to Sunday's championship at The Lake Club.

Friday's competition is at Mill Creek Golf Course with tee times starting at 8:00 am and Saturday's play is at the Youngstown Country Club, Tippecanoe Country Club, Avalon Lakes and Oak Tree Country Club.

"We have 300 individual players that come out for a competitive tournament," said founder and The Vindicator editor Todd Franko. "There are no gimmes. Everything is there. There are 300 players and that's been the core of Greatest since 2010."
