Friday will get underway with a touch of rain around the area. Temperatures will be near the freezing mark so watch for a few isolated slick spots. The afternoon will be cloudy and uneventful with seasonably chilly temperatures.

A warm front will spread rain into the Valley once again on Saturday and we expect a washout of an afternoon. Temperatures should continue rising Saturday night and this will lead to a much warmer day on Sunday. With the aid of some sunshine, readings will push up to near 60 degrees for the first time in quite a while. A passing shower can't be ruled out.

The warming trend will come to an abrupt end at the start of the work week. We expect falling temperatures Monday and a cold, blustery stretch during midweek.
