R. L. Zeigler Co., Inc. is recalling around 11,664 pounds of ready-to-eat poultry and meat sausage products that may contain pieces of metal.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced the recall on Sunday.
The Red Hot chicken and pork sausage items were produced on November 29, 2018.
The following products are being recalled.
The products subject to the recall have an establishment number of “EST. P-9156S” inside the USDA mark of inspection.
These items were shipped to retail locations nationwide.

As of December 30, there have been no confirmed reports of bad reactions after eating these products, according to the company.
Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider.
The release says that FSIS is concerned that some product may be in consumers’ refrigerators or freezers.
They're urging consumers who have purchased these products not to eat them. They should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
