A Lieutenant with the Campbell Police Department tells 21 News there is not enough evidence to charge a Youngstown man with making several Campbell officers sick with a mysterious powder.

Christopher Patton was arrested in October when police officers allegedly became sick after coming in contact with a white substance that came out of his wallet.

Test results for that substance came back negative for drugs.

Patton is still in jail and faces charges for illegal conveyance of a prohibited substance, drug possession, and driving under suspension after allegedly handing the opioid Suboxone to his girlfriend Jennifer Stitzel as she was appearing in Campbell Municipal Court for a narcotics violation.
