The Ohio State Highway Patrol has identified the victims from the double fatal accident on I-80 Saturday morning.
The two-car crash happened in the westbound lane in Braceville Township at around 1:45 am.
Gerald Steven Bemis, 50, of Frederick Maryland was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes in a 1999 Accord and struck Guilberto Rivera Ortiz, 42, of Cleveland and his passenger in a 1997 Toyota Camry head-on.
Bemis and Ortiz both sustained fatal injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene by the Trumbull County coroner. Ortiz's passenger sustained minor injuries.
The accident is still under investigation, but alcohol is believed to be a factor.
