"This year, I am proud to nominate 13 young men and women to be considered for acceptance to our nation's service academies. Once again, it was a very competitive and impressive group of applicants. Each one of them excels both academically and personally, as students and as leaders in their communities," Congressman Ryan said, "These young people are beginning a journey that will test them physically and mentally. Our service academies will develop them into leaders not only for our military, but for our world. Our future is bright in their hands, and I am grateful to have the privilege to nominate them. I have no doubt they will make our country proud."
Each of the nominees completed an application had an interview with the 13th District Nomination Committee.
The selected candidates were honored by Congressman Ryan at a ceremony on Saturday at the Trumbull County Veteran's Service Commission.
