A man is in custody after Youngstown police, and a SWAT team responded to an incident near Jean Street Saturday morning that lasted nearly four hours.

That suspect, 31-year-old Maurice Hasley, surrendered to police after talking face to face with a Boardman officer.

Police told 21 News Hasley had a gun, but no one was injured.

Officials said the incident began sometime after 5:00 a.m. and ended around 8:30 a.m. and started as a domestic issue.

"We were called here initially for a fight, domestic at around 5 a.m., or just before that. Quickly, we had the victim outside, but she advised us the male was inside and that he was armed and intoxicated," said Detective Sergeant Michael Marciano of the Youngstown Police Department.

Hasley is facing several charges including domestic violence, obstructing official business and having weapons under disability.
