Boardman flood damage means new location for trucking job fair

A truck driving career fair being held next week is being moved to a new location because of flood damage at the OhioMeansJobs office in Boardman.

The fair will now be held on Thursday, June 13 at the Boardman Branch of the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County. The time will be from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.

There will be employers onsite taking applications, and representatives from local schools offering CDL training will be present. Information on tuition assistance will also be available.

The event was initially planned for the OhioMeansJobs Center in Boardman, but the facility is closed until June 21 for cleaning and repair of damage from the recent flooding in the area.
