A Warren man is in jail, suspected of barging into two homes and demanding money at gunpoint.

Police arrested 24-year-old Daric Simpson early Friday.

According to a police report, a man who described Simpson as a “friend”, said Simpson brandished two handguns when broke through the glass door of a Lover's Lane home shortly after midnight.

The victim told officers that Simpson asked him and his girlfriend “Where's the bread?”, as he searched the home.

The victim said he called the police when Simpson pointed a gun at a child sleeping in a crib.

That's when Simpson fled the home.

Shortly after that incident, a man playing video games at his Brighton Avenue SE home told police that Simpson walked in and pushed a gun against his chest, taking $250 and a sports bag from him before leaving.

The victim told police that he didn't stop Simpson from coming into his home because he knew him from high school.

Police arrested Simpson a short time later as he was riding in a car driven by another man along Lovers Lane.

Officers say they found a BB gun in the car.

Simpson was scheduled for arraignment Friday on a charge of aggravated burglary.
