Ohio State Highway Patrol Troopers are currently investigating a jackknifed tractor-trailer that backed up traffic in the westbound lanes of Interstate 80 in Girard this morning.
Troopers were called out just before 8 a.m. to Interstate 80 just west of Girard where the truck was on its side in the median.
Westbound traffic was backed up beyond the Route 422 exit.
The driver of the tractor-trailer is 60-year-old Donald Edward Vantassel of McKean, Pa.
Troopers said Edwards struck a guardrail and landed in a median went he went off the left side of the road.
The driver was taken to a local hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.
All lanes are now open after traffic was reduced to one lane going both east and westbound on I-80 for the clean up efforts earlier.
The crash is still under investigation.
