Hermitage man accused of raping two minors in custody
Police say Clarke admitted to having sex with a girl under the age of 13 and a girl under the age of 16 starting around January or February of this year through September 6.
A Hermitage man is behind bars after police say he admitted to raping two minors multiple times over a period of around nine months.
Police went to 35-year-old William Michael Clarke's home on Friday, September 6 on Keel Ridge Road after officials say he called to turn himself in on a traffic warrant.
When they arrived, police say Clarke admitted to having sex with two juvenile girls, and he was taken to the police department for questioning, according to an affidavit of probable cause.
Police say Clarke admitted to having sex with a girl under the age of 13 and a girl under the age of 16 starting around January or February of this year through September 6, the affidavit of probable cause stated.
He's now facing multiple charges including six counts of rape of a child, 13 counts of deviate sexual intercourse with a person less than 16 years old, six counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child and 19 counts of statutory sexual assault.
Clarke is being held in the Mercer County Jail on a $250,000 bond. He has a preliminary hearing set for September 18 in the court of Magisterial District Judge Mary Ann Odem.
