A Hermitage Bowling alley had to be evacuated Thursday night after a fire broke out near the buildings main entrance.

Fire officials tell 21 News the fire broke out between an inner and outer wall at 10 Pin Alley around 8:30 p.m and was later determined to be an electrical fire.

A second alarm was put out on the fire, and six departments responded in total due to the size of the building, but crews were able to put the fire out before it spread to the roof.

There was league play going on at the time of the blaze, but everyone was evacuated. There were no injuries.

Fire officials say there was minimal damage and only needs cosmetic repairs.

The owners of 10 Pin Alley told 21 News they are thankful to the first responders for putting out the fire so quickly and grateful the incident was not severe.

The bowling alley will be open today at 5 p.m.
