Death of baby investigated in Youngstown

The Mahoning County Coroner and Youngstown Police Detectives are investigating the death of a baby on the city's West Side.

An ambulance rushed to a home on Arden Boulevard at around 3 a.m. to come to the aid of a one-month-old infant.

The baby was rushed to the hospital. Police say the child has died.

The circumstances surrounding the infant's death are still being investigated.

The Mahoning County Coroner's Office has transported the infant's body for further investigation by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examinator's Office.
