Warren mom charged with allegedly causing head injuries to two-day-old
Warren police have issued a warrant for the arrest of a woman charged with injuring her infant son when he was only two days old.
Melissa McPherson-Nash, 38, faces one misdemeanor count of child endangering.
Police were called to St. Joseph Warren Hospital after learning that the male infant who was born last month suffered a head injury two days after he was born.
Warren Police Detective Nick Carney said the baby's injury is non-life threatening.
The infant was released to Trumbull County Children Services, which has made arrangements for the child's care.
